The last two weeks have been a BLAST 🤩 Thanks to all who joined us in New York and Boston for some incredible Salons! We'll be recapping all that we learned in our upcoming newsletters, but some reflections: ⚒️ Accelerate, accelerate, accelerate pilots: It's all about scaling faster, and startups (+ their investors) are ready to make this happen. But it's still hard to find those innovative partners to get the work done -- shoutout to New York City Economic Development Corporation, Trust for Governors Island, Suffolk Construction, Bouygues Construction and other partners stepping up to answer the call alongside capital providers like Fontinalis Partners, Streetlife Ventures 🏛️ Local & state government agencies and quasi-agencies want to get creative with their support: there's a recognition that these organizations can -- and want to -- do more to support the ecosystem beyond fiscal sponsorship. How can state and local government be an enabling partner? Thanks to Jared Staley, Grace F., and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center for listening! 😀 We're nothing without a strong workforce: and currently, it's hard to match the right talent, with the right jobs, and help them grow their careers in climate. Organizations like Browning the Green Space, Greentown Labs, College to Climate, Young Professionals in Energy, Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship play a critical role in creating spaces and opportunities for career-building. How can we connect the community? More to come from us on this one 👀 Building hardtech companies takes time and lots of partnerships: it's why Climate Salon exists, and why we want to thank founders like the folks at florrent, Helix Earth, Sublime Systems, Atalanta Climate for joining us. These events were massive -- hundreds of folks showed up to join the conversation. We have more in store this fall; stay tuned!
