What an incredible journey this has been! Over the past few weeks, our Design with Purpose contest has showcased creativity, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of heart. Each team worked closely together to take forgotten pieces and give them new life, proving that design can be both beautiful and meaningful. The votes were so close …. The winner is ... Davis & Davis was the first team to join our Design With Purpose contest, in partnership with Interface. Their teamwork and collaboration was evident throughout the process!  They changed this cabinet from dated to dynamic! This cabinet was refreshed with a black exterior, warm oak wood strips, a custom wood handle, plus a solid surface top.  A perfect blend of modern design and timeless character. From plain wood to playful creativity!  The team at Integrated Design Solutions, in partnership with Allor Group, chose this simple dresser and transformed it into a work of "art". A diamond in the rough! Danielle Nowak from Dokes Design & Architecture, LLC. and her husband Craig Paul Nowak, found this table hiding in the donated furniture at our Humble warehouse. They clearly had a vision because their hard work turned this table into a gem! Hours of sanding found a beautiful birds eye maple top and cherry legs under the black lacquer paint. They brought the woods back to life with Danish oil and finished the top with resin. Read their story below and check out all the progress pics!
