  • Your event strategy is broken. Not because your dinners aren’t great. Or your webinars aren’t pulling registrations. Or your roadshows aren’t packed. It’s broken because none of it connects. You run events like standalones — and your buyers feel it. Each touchpoint is valuable on its own… but when it doesn’t add up to a bigger story, it gets forgotten. The best teams aren’t “running events” anymore. They’re designing journeys. ⚡ Webinar → dinner → follow-up webinar. ⚡ Roadshow → nurture series → virtual roundtable. ⚡ Every touchpoint connected, every step intentional. That’s exactly what we’re diving into next week in the live workshop and panel on: Designing Connected Event Experiences Across In-Person and Virtual 📅 October 8th 🎤 With Oana Manolache (Sequel.io), Steph Pennell (INGÉNUE), Kris Jenkins (Mobly), EJ Oelling (6sense), and Austin Sandmeyer (Sendoso) No fluff. No “10 best practices.” Just the strategies field marketers are actually using to design experiences that move the needle. 👉 Save your seat: https://lnkd.in/geDGKfJi

long live the protest 😅 We took to the conference floor with a simple message: Stop hosting webinars off your website. Because when you do, here’s what you lose (straight from Kris): 👉 The ability to track how attendees engage with your entire site while the webinar is happening. 👉 Higher conversion rates that come from keeping people in your brand experience. 👉 Better insights for sales reps — not just who attended, but what they care about. As Kris put it best: “Never again. You just don’t have the data.” This is exactly why we’re running our next session on building connected audience experiences — blending in-person and digital touch points into a customer journey that actually drives pipeline. Here’s what’s coming:  ⚡ A workshop from Austin (Sendoso) on mapping connected attendee journeys  ⚡ A panel with Steph (INGÉNUE), Kris (Mobly), EJ (6sense) and Oana (Sequel) on what’s actually working in the field. 📅 Join us live: https://lnkd.in/gt7hBdHn Because webinars aren’t just events, they’re the backbone of connected experiences. And it’s time we stopped giving that data away!

    Growth at Encord | AI/ML & DataOps

Let's call this my public apology to Maya Nayyar and Carl Bager. Last month in SF, Allie Smith invited me on the Game Changers podcast to share what's working for the Encord growth team. It's true, we've built great website flows to classify and flag user/account intent. But Maya and Carl have done like 99% of the work I talk about... ① Pinned Navattic interactive demo CTAs to top-funnel site pages. (𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤) ② Built custom demos + site flows tailored to specific use-cases. (𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺) ③ Mapped user/account activity as hand-raisers to sales. (𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭, 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩) I know, interactive demos aren't anything groundbreaking. They've been around for years. You've probably got one on your site. But they're still not used widely enough as a hand-raiser mechanism. We're still in the early stages, but this workflow is giving the entire revenue team more pathways to capture demand from the site. If you want to work with Maya and Carl - we're hiring in the Growth team at Encord!

Here’s a stat that surprised me when we dug into our numbers: 80% of our pipeline is influenced by webinars. Not because we run more webinars than anyone else, but because we treat each one as the starting point for a content ecosystem, not a one-off event. And it didn’t happen by accident. We built a full-funnel flywheel: 🟣 Top of Funnel: Our CMO Series → executive thought leadership that opens doors. 🟣 Mid Funnel: Game Changers Masterclass → tactical demand gen playbooks that marketers can run tomorrow. 🟣 Bottom Funnel: Sequel Academy → product adoption and customer enablement. Because the customer journey isn’t linear, we meet people where they are with different series, different use cases, and different levels of depth. Here’s the sneak peek of what I share in my guest lecture 👇 👉 Why speed-to-content matters just as much as speed-to-lead. (Every replay is live immediately.) 👉 How a single 30-minute session = 6+ assets (blogs, clips, reels, nurture emails, and more). 👉 Why the best “demo request” isn’t always CTA button, but a poll. (Yes, people really ask for demos when you make it "no strings attached".) 👉 How engagement data tells a bigger story when you look at the whole journey — what people do before, during, and after the session on your site. The end result is a program that feels like a Netflix channel for your brand, run by 1-2 marketers. Always-on, binge-worthy, and directly tied to pipeline. If you’ve ever wondered how to turn webinars from one-off events into a content machine, this lecture will give you the playbook. Check out the playbook, here: https://lnkd.in/gw77hCsz Thanks, Liam Bartholomew and the entire Cognism team for letting me be a part of your Demand Generation Playbook series 💜

That’s right… INBOUND 2025 had protests. But it’s probably not what you think 😆 Allie Smith and Amanda Bagley led the charge to protest off-website webinars…it was an activation for Sequel.io! At RevPartners, we’ve SMASHED webinar records and attendance since adopting Sequel. As an attendee, the signup process and viewer experience looks so smooth and professional, because you’re watching a webinar on the very website of the host brand! No more clicking a webinar link and having it be a random Zoom 🙈 I mean…at that point I’m not even going to bother tracking down the sponsor company. But with Sequel.io, we get to welcome hundreds of folks looking to #ExitSalesforce directly to our site, where they can explore our gigantic resource library. (Check out RevOps Academy here: https://lnkd.in/e77YixZG) It’s a better experience for our attendees, nobody gets lost searching for our actual site, and we get the data back about who’s viewing what, when! Amanda and I got to catch up at INBOUND to chat about those protests - take a look!

This line-up I'm actually a part of (ifykyk) This is such a timely topic and backed by LOTS of data. But the icing on the cake is... we get to share our thoughts and insights. Yes, you too! Dedicated Marketer | Revenue Lover | @Sendoso

I've been thinking about this A LOT lately... Most marketing teams are running events like they're playing whack-a-mole. A webinar here. 🔨 A dinner there. 🔨 Maybe a roadshow if we're feeling fancy. 🔨 Each one costs a fortune, takes forever to plan, and then... poof... it's over. Oh and did you schedule the follow-ups?? 🫠 But here's what I keep seeing with the teams that are absolutely crushing it: They're not running events. They're designing journeys. Like, what if that webinar naturally flowed into an in-person dinner? And that dinner led to a follow-up virtual series? Every touchpoint building on the last one? That's exactly what I'm going to walk through in a tactical workshop next week 📅 October 8th | 10:00 AM PT Here's what's happening: ⚡ I'm leading a hands-on workshop on how we are mapping attendee journeys at Sendoso (think webinar → roadshow → event flows → gifting 🎁 👀) ⚡ Then we've got an absolutely stacked panel with Oana Manolache (Sequel.io), Steph Pennell (INGÉNUE), Kris Jenkins (Mobly), and EJ Oelling (6sense) sharing what's actually working in the field right now I better see you on the 8th. 👉 Register here: https://lnkd.in/gi2-WCts

Not me just inserting myself into the conversation... But I kept running into incredible field & event marketers at Hubspot's Inbound a few weeks ago, and the conversations kept going in a direction I didn’t expect. We weren’t talking about the latest event formats or flashy activations. We kept coming back to something simpler: connection. Most teams still run events in silos. A webinar one month, a dinner the next, maybe a roadshow later. Each one fine on its own… but disconnected. What stood out in these conversation was how much better the attendee experience (and the outcomes) are when those touch points are designed as journeys. A webinar that flows into an in-person dinner. A roadshow stop that continues with a follow-up virtual series. One touchpoint leading naturally to the next. I decided this topic needed a bigger stage. So next week we’re bringing the conversation live in a session: Designing Connected Event Experiences Across In-Person and Virtual Here’s what’s happening: ⚡ Austin Sandmeyer 🔥🎁 (Sendoso) is leading a tactical workshop on how to build attendee journeys across formats ⚡ Then we’ve got a panel with Steph Pennell (INGÉNUE), Kris Jenkins (Mobly), EJ Oelling (6sense), and Oana Manolache (Sequel.io) sharing real stories and strategies on how to to create an event-led flywheel. This is all going down on October 8th at 10:00 AM PT – I'd love to see you there in the crowd! (check the comments to register:)
