What You’ll Do
Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function across our Texas offices (Houston, Dallas, and Austin). Whether you’re an experienced HR leader in professional services or ready to elevate your career in a fast-paced legal environment, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic and operational role.
In this highly visible position, you’ll partner with Firm leadership and local office teams to deliver exceptional HR support aligned with our business strategy and culture of excellence.
Lead HR initiatives across Houston, Dallas, and Austin offices
Partner with leadership on talent strategy, performance, and engagement
Manage full employee lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, development, and offboarding
Serve as the go-to HR advisor for attorneys and staff
Drive local recruiting, employee relations, and change management efforts
What You’ll Bring
To Thrive In This Role, You’ll Need
10+ years of HR experience (5+ in management), ideally in professional services
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
A proactive, strategic mindset with attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree required; PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
