Lutnick hosted the Department of Commerce’s Alaska Seafood Roundtable alongside Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, the Alaska delegation, and fishermen representing the Last Frontier. Alaska’s fisheries are central to America’s seafood industry. They set the market, support thousands of jobs for fishermen, boat captains, crew members, and technicians, and generate billions of dollars for the Alaskan economy and the American economy as a whole. The Trump Administration is committed to fighting for Alaska's fishing economy, keeping America’s seafood industry competitive on the global stage, and ensuring that Alaska continues to be a stalwart of U.S. growth and prosperity.

Philips, a global leader in health technology, announced a plan for new investments of more than USD 150 million in U.S. manufacturing and research and development. As part of the announcement, Philips unveiled the expansion of its Reedsville, PA manufacturing facility, which produces AI-enabled ultrasound systems for hospitals across the U.S. https://lnkd.in/e7pRFw-B

Century Aluminum Company has announced plans to restart over 50,000MT of idled production at its Mt. Holly, SC smelter. Century will invest approximately $50 million in the effort, create over 100 new jobs and boost U.S. domestic aluminum production by almost 10 percent. The restart will enable the plant, currently operating at 75 percent capacity, to achieve full production by June 30, 2026, a level not seen since 2015. https://lnkd.in/eCR4W5hx

GE Appliances, a Haier company, announced a bold plan to invest more than $3 billion over the next five years in its U.S. operations, workforce and communities. The first phase of investments will begin at GE Appliances plants in Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Upon completion of this plan, GE Appliances will have invested $6.5 billion across its U.S. manufacturing plants and nationwide distribution network since 2016. https://lnkd.in/euAxXPw9

This is why we negotiated with South Korea and Japan to expand our chip manufacturing capacity at home.
