About us
Tuesday’s Children provides healing and resilience for military families of the fallen and families affected by 9/11, turning pain into purpose while honoring their legacies. Our work begins when the emergency response ends - when the life-altering impact of the loss sets in. And we stay with families throughout the stages of life. Our proven, long-term approach to helping family members and communities recover was forged in the aftermath of Tuesday, September 11th. Our programs enable our service population to heal, recover, and thrive.

Last week, the 9/11 community came together at the #911Museum for a special New York First Sunday, offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with each other in remembrance. Guests had the opportunity to explore the Museum, view this year's Anniversary Digital Learning Experience, engage children with age-appropriate art activities, and connect with representatives from partner organizations, including the World Trade Center Health Program, Victim Compensation Fund, Crisis Response Canines, Answer the Call, First Responders Children's Foundation, Tuesday's Children, New York City Fire Department Fire Safety Education, and Siren. We are deeply grateful to our partners and all who joined us for a meaningful evening of reflection and community.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. Always Honor. Always Serve. 🇺🇸 As a United States Marine Corps Veteran, September 11th is not just a date on the calendar — it’s a reminder of sacrifice, service, and the responsibility we carry to honor those who gave everything. That’s why I’m proud to support the 6th Annual 9/11 Patriot Day Golf Fundraiser at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. This event benefits Tuesday's Children and the Veterans Affiliated Council, organizations dedicated to providing lasting care for veterans, active-duty service members, Gold Star families, 9/11 families, and responder communities. For me, this isn’t about just playing a round of golf — it’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with my brothers, sisters, and their families. It’s about making sure their stories live on and that their families are never left without support. To my fellow veterans, families, and community — let’s keep showing up. We can all play a part in honoring legacy and building hope. Across the country, nonprofits and mission-driven organizations are supporting 9/11 families, survivors, and first responders. Today, many are looking for volunteers, donations, and even hiring. Here are just a few: 9/11 Memorial & Museum – The 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York City is dedicated to remembering those who were killed in the 2001 and 1993 attacks and educating future generations about their significance. Their mission is rooted in honoring the past while shaping conversations about resilience and hope. Tuesday's Children – Tuesday’s Children was founded to support the families of those lost on 9/11, but its work has expanded to include military families and communities impacted by terrorism and mass violence. Their long-term focus includes youth mentorship, career guidance, and emotional support. 9/11 Day – 9/11 Day is the nation’s largest annual day of service, mobilizing millions of Americans to turn remembrance into action. Their projects often include large-scale meal packing, community clean-ups, and service projects in dozens of cities nationwide. Carry The Load – Founded to honor and celebrate the sacrifices of the military, veterans, first responders, and their families, Carry The Load organizes Patriot Day service projects and remembrance events. From cemetery clean-ups to community beautification, their work creates meaningful ways to give back. 9/11 Tribute Museum – Though its physical space in Lower Manhattan has closed, the 9/11 Tribute Museum continues online, providing education and storytelling from survivors, first responders, and families. Their mission is to ensure that personal stories from 9/11 are preserved and shared.
