What an incredible evening at the Women's Energy Network Greater Pittsburgh last month! 🌟 Being surrounded by such brilliant, passionate women in the energy sector reminded me why I'm so grateful to be part of this dynamic industry. From seasoned executives sharing their wisdom to emerging leaders bringing fresh perspectives, the room was electric with innovation and collaboration. It's moments like these that highlight how fortunate I am to be connected to organizations like Women's Energy Network Global energy network and Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE).These groups don't just support our careers, they create communities where we can learn from each other, celebrate our wins, and tackle challenges together. To my incredible peers and friends who were there: thank you for being such inspiring forces in this industry. Your expertise, leadership, and friendship continue to elevate not just my own journey, but the entire energy sector. #WomensEnergyNetwork #WomenInEnergy #EnergyIndustry #Leadership #Community #Networking #WomenSupportingWomen

While there's much to be said for self motivation, who we work with daily, weekly, yearly, through decades makes or breaks how far we may go in our careers. Who is your tailwind? Who is channeling your full impact potential? As #cleanenergy industries navigate headwinds with U.S. policies designed to slow us, momentum behind our mature industries is too strong to be stopped. Everyone's looking for and talking about tailwinds. Stakeholders are strategizing, jumping on opportunities as demand soars with hyperscalers, AI and data centers driving exponential load growth. But today, let's talk people. It’s hard not to feel optimistic when clean energy people gather, as 37,000 of us did in Vegas at a pivotal time in our growth story. These #REPlus25 opening night faces say it all. These photos make it obvious why many can find our career ‘forever homes’ in clean energy. A few years ago, when I set the goal to return to #cleantech after years in aerospace and other sciences - where I found only peripheral chances to promote #climatesolutions, my top passion - the decision was both mission- and people-driven. Our clean energy workforce brings together the best people. That is a tailwind. And one reason why we'll keep winning. Photos courtesy of SEIA – Solar Sisters reception at RE+ 2025 - Special thanks to CEO Abby Hopper for founding the #SolarSisters – ‘building community for women in clean energy.’ - It was a pleasure to join panelists Necole Stravino, Hema Gupta and host/friend Abby Hopper for a energizing conversation with our community. - Many thanks to the Solar Energy Industries Association team for incorporating this network throughout programming – at the center, not on the side. Jen Bristol, Cassidy Ballard, Timothy Momyer, Damonique Kimbrough, Roderick Lewis, CPSP, CTIS, CSE Antuan Scott, Vanessa Hobson, MS, Todd Echols. - Shoutout to all Solar Sisters, incl. Mindy Prefling, Cameron Benton for attending, executive leader Kimberlee Centera for kindly supporting, Jennifer Quas for surprising me with amazing custom earrings before the panel talk, Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Executive Director Doseke Akporiaye and Rising Solar Fellows.

Excited to share I’ll be speaking at the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum on October 15 in a breakout session: From Doing to Leading – Becoming an Effective Manager. I’ll be joining Wanda Lee Florestine (she/her/hers) (GRID Alternatives ), Shobha Susan Eason (Triple Oak Power ), and Emily Greeno (Avangrid ) to explore how to navigate the shift from subject matter expert to team leader — the pitfalls to avoid, new leadership skills to embrace, and the balance of managing up and leading people. This conversation couldn’t be more timely. At Permission To Bloom, our new AI-Ready Purpose Activation Pathway is about building cultures of trust and connection — exactly what new managers need as they step into leadership in today’s complex environment. Looking forward to the exchange of wisdom and practical tools. #WRISE2025 #WomenInEnergy #PurposeActivation #LeadershipDevelopment #PermissiontoBloom Register today: https://lnkd.in/gRN4PUnQ
