The San Diego Chapter of WRISE is a group of women working in or striving for a career in renewable energy. We are committed to upholding the WRISE National Mission Statement, while helping to further the professional development of women working in the renewable energy fields in Southern California. WRISE National Mission Statement: Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) promotes the education, professional development, and advancement of women to achieve a strong diversified workforce and support a robust renewable energy economy. WRISE San Diego Purpose Statement: Foster successful professional relationships, support mutual career growth, and cultivate industry knowledge by: Providing on-going industry education and information Mentoring fellow WRISE members Engaging women’s participation in renewable energy at higher levels Encouraging engineering/math/science education among young women and girls Endorsing women in all renewable energy career roles

Plan networking events for the San Diego WRISE Community such as expert panel discussions and coffee meetups Work with partner organizations to execute sponsored events Coordinate venues and volunteers for events What’s the commitment look like?
