About us

Jackson Family Wines, based in Sonoma County – in the heart of California’s wine country – is one of the few family-owned and operated winery groups of its kind. Founded in 1983 with a focus on artisanal wines of distinct character and quality, Jackson Family Wines’ portfolio of wineries includes Kendall-Jackson, La Crema, Freemark Abbey, Murphy-Goode, Stonestreet, Matanzas Creek and Cambria (plus many more!), as well as a collection of luxury wineries such as Cardinale, Lokoya and Verite. Today, the Jackson family carries the formidable legacy of founder Jess Jackson forward to the next generation. We continue to embed our core values of land stewardship, inspired winemaking and a respect for wine at the table into the company’s local and worldwide practices. All of JFW’s wineries reflect a unique quality story steeped in extraordinary vineyards, remarkable artisan winemaking and the dedication of hard working, talented individuals. This philosophy is often called sustainability, but for us it’s all about providing environmental, social and economic benefits that our family, employees and community can all share – now and in the future. 2015 North Bay Business Journal's Best Places to Work Winner!

JetFuel have been world class experiential partners for us for 5 years mainly with our national "La Crema Tasting Room Tour", but this February, with our first big build for the National Basketball Association (NBA) at All Stars with Kendall- Jackson we saw them push the limits even more. We're consistently impressed with their consumer relevant creativity, account management, excellent execution, comprehensive event management, and their ability to always over deliver. Bringing the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates experience to life at NBA All-Star 2025 was nothing short of amazing! Our JetFuel team delivered a standout activation featuring a 360 photo moment, an engaging panel, wine tastings, DJ appearances, and a stylish space for attendees to unwind. Big thanks to our hardworking team and our client, Kendall Jackson, for making it all happen. Cheers to everyone who stopped by and made it a success!

Everyday we’re getting gut punched by the headlines about “alcohol” - we cannot forget that wine is more than just alcohol - it’s agricultural, it’s historic, it’s significant, it’s global, it supports huge economies, it’s sustainable, it’s art, it’s pleasure, and it’s deeply and profoundly human. The rising tide will float all boats so everyone get out there, get together with your industry peers, and start acting to turn this back around. Community is why we all love this business and that’s what will keep us healthy and thriving. At these talks, Karen Daenen and I often feel like the wine industry therapists, but if that’s what we need to get back on our horses and compete, then I’m proud to do it. DON’T stop supporting important industry events like SommCon Conference & Beverage Expo - they are part of the fabric of our community. Jackson Family Wines.

Changing the narrative in the wine industry Shilah Salmon of Jackson Family Wines delivered an inspiring keynote at SommCon, challenging the doom and gloom often associated with the wine industry. While headlines may paint a bleak picture, Shilah shared that the reality is much more nuanced. By examining macro trends and historical context, she highlighted key opportunities in the face of challenges like shifting consumer habits and market oversaturation. Her message was one of hope and action: through forward-thinking marketing, a focus on quality and sustainability, and telling authentic human stories, the wine industry can change the narrative and thrive. We’re energized by this vision for the future and can’t wait to dive deeper into these important conversations at SommCon DC in June 2025 and SommCon San Diego later in the year. Here’s to an exciting year ahead for the wine industry! 🍇✨

  • We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Lupe Valencia, our amazing Vineyard Director, who has been a part of Jackson Family Wines family for an incredible 25 years! Originally from Jalisco, Mexico, Lupe oversees the stunning Sonoma Coast, Bennett Valley, and Russian River vineyards, where his passion for the land and people truly stands out. Lupe loves exploring our beautiful vineyards, staying connected with his team, and helping others grow and thrive within Jackson Family Wines.
