This isn't your average robot vacuum. Our very own Will D. got to meet the Dusty Robotics Field Printer, showcasing its tech at #AU2025 Autodesk! 🤖 This little guy is a high-precision robot that prints digital floor plans directly onto the floor, bringing AutoCAD models into the real world. With a high-precision laser and millimeter-level accuracy, it can even map out utilities routing, streamlining communication between contractors. A great reminder that the future of robotics is about precision, not just cleaning up after dinner. #DustyRobotics #Robotics #Innovation #Tech #Construction #Automation #AU2025 #Hackster #Engineering

Framers, want the fast track on what Dusty Robotics is all about? Start here: Zachary Reiss-Davis joined Ashley Baker on the SBCA Component Connection podcast to cover the basics. Why we exist. What we do. And most importantly—why it matters for your crew. Hint: it comes down to fewer mistakes, faster layout, and work that fits the first time. https://lnkd.in/gMEYinca And if you’re heading to the BCMC Framer's Summit next week, don’t just hear about Dusty—see it in action. We’re presenting an education session with FL Crane and Sons and running live layout demos right on the show floor at Booth 911. Come see what automated layout is really all about. #SBCA #BCMC #FramersSummit #AutomatedLayout #FramingLayout #FileToField #RobotsInConstruction #FutureOfConstruction #AECTech

Thanks for joining the session Michael Zeppieri. It was a dynamic and valuable discussion with the audience about an emerging workflow that's changing the way information reaches the field. Joseph Weisman, Project Manager at Skanska, said "#MultiTradeLayout was absolutely effective and worth the effort. It allowed us to condense our layout schedule into a very compact time frame." He went on to say, "It also helps us make sure that that dry-run in VDC is being utilized and realized in the field." "We're seeing reduced levels of rework because we're increasing the fidelity of the installation to match exactly what was designed." #FileToField #AutomatedLayout #VDC #BIMtoField #RobotsInConstruction Autodesk University #AU2025

First time quality The driver of Lean Thinking and yet frustratingly elusive for construction given the inherent variation and bespoke nature of our industry. Despite the potential, as an industry we’ve yet to fully realize the potential of #VDC as the solution to achieving first time quality. Skanska’s Joseph Weisman and Dusty Robotics’ Scott Nyborg expertly shared at #AU2025 why there is a “boil the ocean” aspect to VDC, and how we’ve focused our efforts by partnering on a very specific bottleneck through robotic multi-trade layout, and delivering value across two projects for our Sutter Health client. I especially enjoyed their emphasis on trade partnership and workflow discipline as key to realizing value from technology, which is foundational to Skanska’s entire innovation strategy. I also found helpful how they quantified the complex coordination challenges they were able to mitigate as a result. Well done Joseph Weisman and thank you Dusty Robotics. Love that you were able to do a live demo as a closer! https://lnkd.in/ecjeB-sc

Tessa Lau spoke at #Blueprint2025 today while a lot of our team was at #AU2025. Her panel with Raja Ghawi, Derrick Morse, P.E. of Rugged Robotics, Kevin Albert of Canvas, and Kevin McGlade of Tempo Works talked about the new wave of robotics changing the construction industry. For that change to bring the most value to builders, "it's all about the quickest path to adoption," she says. "Layout happens on every site. How does Dusty get there? We bring it on with the trades because they want it everyday." GCs follow suit as the industry becomes experienced with the technology. "At Dusty we help customers through change management and make that as painless as possible. We share learnings across our customer base to create best practices for them to use in the future." But can robots really impact project outcomes for builders? "Well, I'll share there are 2 insurance companies giving Dusty to their contractors to eliminate risk," she says. #RobotsInConstruction #FutureOfConstruction #ConstructionTechnology #Robotics #AECTech Blueprint: The Future of Real Estate

Dusty delivers #FiletoField continuity with new AutoCAD Plugin Available now in the Autodesk App Store, Dusty’s AutoCAD plugin streamlines the entire layout process by pulling layout data directly from your coordinated CAD models. If you're still communicating design intent through screenshots, markup, email chains, and chalklines, it’s time for a change. Dusty’s AutoCAD Plugin eliminates the breakdowns — so your crews build exactly what was designed. Tessa Lau, CEO of Dusty Robotics says, "Our AutoCAD plugin removes friction between design and field teams by translating the digital design directly into the information field crews see on the jobsite floor. This integration is a core part of our plan to orchestrate the work done on construction sites, delivering perfect outcomes by directing the work of every person, machine, and robot on site. With Dusty’s Field Intelligence, contractors eliminate quality erosion and protect their hard-earned profits.” James Cook, director of industry & technology partnerships at Autodesk, expands further, “As construction projects continue to experience skilled labor shortages, finding ways to improve field work productivity can have a significant impact. The integration between AutoCAD and Dusty Robotics creates an elegant workflow that connects design to construction and automates a previously tedious and error-prone process.” See it live at #AU2025 at Booth #432. https://lnkd.in/gDjy2j_2 #constructiontech #AutoCAD Autodesk University #AutomatedLayout #VDC #BIM #BuildDifferent #RobotsInConstruction

Excited to talk about Robotics and Physical AI next week at Blueprint with Kevin Albert, Kevin McGlade, Derrick Morse, P.E., and Raja Ghawi. Robotics are the foundational layer that enable the new class of physical AI on the job site. AI is only as good as the data it's been trained on, and robots are generating that data for construction. Come catch us in the panel "How the New Wave of Robotics is Transforming Construction" at Blueprint: The Future of Real Estate on Sept 17 at 2:40pm in Ballroom H. Join us and bring lots of questions!

You've invested in a heavy VDC effort on your project. You've poured time and money into making sure the problems are solved ahead of time -- that you have a flawless plan for execution. But now you need to get that information onto the jobsite so it GETS USED. This year at #AU2025 at Booth 432, we'll show you how. Come check out a live demo of Dusty and talk to our team of VDC and field experts. You can also see our new #AutoCAD Plugin that streamlines your #FileToField process even further. And if you want to dive deep on how Multi-Trade Layout is reshaping how VDC and field teams communicate, check out Session 4986: Multi-Trade Layout Is The Missing Workflow That Drives VDC ROI, with speakers Joseph Weisman from Skanska and Scott Nyborg from Dusty. We'll get tactical with lessons learned and best practices. See you there! #AutomatedLayout #MultiTradeLayout #VDC #BIMtoField #FutureOfConstruction #RobotsInConstruction #NashvilleTN Autodesk Autodesk University
