Battelle is proud to support the expansion of Jazz Lab 2.0, a mobile, one-day STEAM program from A Tribe for Jazz, bringing hands-on innovation to middle schoolers in rural and suburban communities around I-270. In partnership with Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools and C-TEC of Licking County, Jazz Lab 2.0 transforms school gyms and community spaces into pop-up studios where students explore the creative intersections of jazz, technology, and future career pathways. Building on a successful Battelle-funded pilot, this next phase will reach even more students through immersive activities like VR soundscapes, remixing video game scores, and exploring the science of sound. Join Battelle in Fort Worth, Texas, from May 31–June 4, 2026, for the Fourteenth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds. We are now accepting abstracts for the technical program, see pages 4-5 of the Call for Abstracts document on the Conference website for a list of example presentation topics. Abstracts are welcome on all relevant topics! Presentations will address the full range of technologies that can be used to remediate sites contaminated by chlorinated and other recalcitrant compounds. Risk, regulatory, and site management issues associated with these technologies will be discussed. The program will emphasize field applications, case studies, and rational site-closure approaches, but submissions on fundamental research and laboratory, pilot, and modeling studies are encouraged.
