Earlier this week, Allen County High School students explored the world of manufacturing through tours of local manufacturers, followed by demonstrations and presentations from local industry professionals at the HUB in Lima. Battelle is proud to support the expansion of Jazz Lab 2.0, a mobile, one-day STEAM program from A Tribe for Jazz, bringing hands-on innovation to middle schoolers in rural and suburban communities around I-270. In partnership with Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools and C-TEC of Licking County, Jazz Lab 2.0 transforms school gyms and community spaces into pop-up studios where students explore the creative intersections of jazz, technology, and future career pathways. Building on a successful Battelle-funded pilot, this next phase will reach even more students through immersive activities like VR soundscapes, remixing video game scores, and exploring the science of sound.
