We are Torrance, and we shout out Michael Lewis! Police Services Supervisor Michael Lewis is being recognized for his leadership in organizing the City’s first-ever gun buyback event. With no existing blueprint to follow, he developed a comprehensive operational plan, delegated responsibilities, and ensured strict adherence to safety protocols. Leveraging his firearms expertise, Michael carefully evaluated and documented each weapon, implementing a robust tracking system to uphold legal compliance and transparency. He also oversaw the secure destruction of all collected firearms, ensuring full accountability. His initiative not only led to a successful event but also represented a significant milestone in advancing public safety and strengthening community trust. #TeamTorrance #WeAreTorrance #TorranceCA
