Our LGBTQ+ Education and Acceptance Project (LEAP) is currently seeking submissions from parents, guardians, and family members of LGBTQ+ youth in Brooklyn and Queens. We are specifically looking for stories that highlight a journey toward greater acceptance of a child's LGBTQ+ identity, with a particular interest in hearing from Black and/or Latine parents and caregivers. These powerful role model stories will be featured on postcards distributed throughout the boroughs, providing a valuable resource for other families. Anonymity for all participants is strictly guaranteed. This initiative provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a project that fosters understanding and support within the community. The two selected individuals will receive an additional incentive. To submit a story or for more information, please contact us by phone or email. We encourage you to share this post within your network.

Participants will also be able to get professional headshots for their LinkedIn pages, and an oppurtunity to practice mock interviews with YMHP outreach workers. Lastly we will be holding a iWerk workshop that will cover resume/cover letter skills and LGBTQIA+ workplace rights.
