Olusola Adeyemo (PRINCE2), Lead, Sustainable Farming, Distribution and Extension at AGRA delivered a powerful keynote on the second day of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF) Congress in Kigali. The address, speaking to “The Role of Youth in the Future of Agriculture,” spotlighted Africa’s youth dividend and their readiness to take up space in the agricultural ecosystem.

Beyond farming, he emphasized opportunities across the value chain, from inputs & services to aggregation, logistics, markets, and retail. He also highlighted AGRA’s YEFFA program, that is targetting to reach well over a million youth across the continent, with dignified jobs by 2028.
Besides the keynote speech, Olusola also moderated two dynamic panels on youth & women inclusion, featuring leaders from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH , RUFORUM, African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS), RYAFRwanda, South Sudan Agricultural Producer Union (SSAPU), Women Farmers Association of Kenya (WoFaAK), and National Cooperative Confederation of Rwanda( (NCCR). The day wrapped with a special address from Dr. Dr. Agnes Kalibata, AGRA’s former President.
