Hello There 👋

I am Ubongabasi Jerome (ubyjerome)

A Software Engineer and proficient Backend Developer with expertise in TypeScript, Golang, and MongoDB. I specialize in building scalable backend systems and designing robust APIs that power real-world applications.

I'm also highly skilled in Unix-based environments, with hands-on experience in System Administration, IT Support, and the deployment and management of reliable web infrastructures. My work often sits at the intersection of backend performance, system reliability, and developer efficiency.

I thrive in environments where backend logic, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation meet. Whether it's building microservices, integrating DevOps workflows, or optimizing database performance, I build with clarity and longevity in mind.

Tools I work with:

  • Programming: Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash

  • Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis

  • DevOps: Docker, Nginx, GitHub Actions, Linux

  • Cloud & Infra: AWS EC2/S3, GCP

If you've ever wanted to break free from Ubuntu's predefined color schemes and add your own personal touch to the system's appearance, you're not alone. While Ubuntu provides users with a selection of 10 distinct color schemes to choose from, there are times when you crave a more unique look, perhaps even a specific color that speaks to you personally—like the enchanting blend of purple and blue.

However, Ubuntu doesn't offer a straightforward way to add your custom color through the settings menu. Fear not, though, because with the assistance of a tool called dconf Editor, you can bring your preferred hue into the mix. In this article, we'll guide you through the process.
