I am a gentoo, arch & void(musl) linux user.

although the above patch does solve the compile issue on my Gentoo system, it creates o non-ncurses mrtg on my other two systems

Edit: on arch & void distros I was missing the ncusres-devel package. after installing the devel package & compiling mtr-0.94 with the above patch, everything works fine & as expected on all three systems

applying this commit on the main-tree will make the gentoo community happy

Just an explicit note that since commit 25fc527 (aka 0.96) this PR will create problems, since it's now necessary to link against tinfow instead.
