The Hitchhikers are a FIRST Robotics Competition team from Apex, North Carolina.
In FRC, thousands of teams from around the world participate in annual robotics competitions that bring together a diverse group of students, schools, mentors, and sponsors. The students participate in various competitive levels, from district to state to world events.
Teams are given a game challenge and 6 weeks to prototype, design, build, program, and test a robot to play the game. After regional and state competitions, teams qualify for the World competition in Houston each year. The build and competition season lasts from early January to the end of April.
