πŸš€ About Me

Welcome to my corner of GitHub! I'm Oskar, a passionate developer from Poland who believes that great software is built at the intersection of elegant code and thoughtful design. My journey into programming started with curiosity about how things work under the hood, and that curiosity has evolved into a full-fledged passion for creating solutions that make a real difference.

What drives me as a developer is the endless possibility for innovation. Every project is an opportunity to learn something new, push boundaries, and build something that didn't exist before. I approach development with a mindset that combines technical rigor with creative problem-solving. Whether I'm architecting a backend system, crafting a smooth user interface, or optimizing database queries, I'm always thinking about the end user and how to deliver the best possible experience.

My technical journey spans across multiple domains. On the frontend, I love creating interfaces that are not just functional but delightful to use. There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing users interact seamlessly with something you've built. On the backend, I enjoy the challenge of designing systems that are robust, scalable, and maintainable. The infrastructure layer fascinates me too - containerization, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices are areas where I'm constantly expanding my knowledge.

What sets me apart is my interdisciplinary approach. I don't just write code - I think about design, user experience, performance, security, and maintainability. My background with tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Blender gives me a unique perspective on how design and development can work together harmoniously. I believe the best developers are those who can see the bigger picture and understand how all the pieces fit together.

Current Focus Areas:

  • πŸ” Working on: Building full-stack applications with modern frameworks and exploring automation solutions that streamline development workflows
  • 🌱 Learning: Diving deep into React Native for cross-platform mobile development, mastering Docker containerization and orchestration, and studying advanced architectural patterns like microservices and event-driven systems
  • πŸ‘― Looking to collaborate on: Open source projects that solve real-world problems, innovative web applications, and any project where clean code and great design matter
  • πŸ’¬ Ask me about: Python development, JavaScript frameworks, React ecosystem, database design and optimization, or anything related to full-stack development
  • ⚑ Fun fact: I'm fascinated by the intersection of design and code - that's why I spend time with Figma and Blender alongside programming. I believe the best products come from understanding both worlds

πŸ› οΈ Technology Stack

My toolkit is diverse and constantly evolving. I believe in choosing the right tool for the job rather than being dogmatic about any particular technology. Here's what I work with across different domains of software development.

Frontend Development

html5 css3 javascript react reactnative

I approach frontend development with a focus on creating responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces. HTML and CSS are the foundation, but I leverage modern JavaScript and React to build dynamic, component-based applications. React Native extends my reach to mobile platforms, allowing me to deliver consistent experiences across web and mobile with a shared codebase.

Backend Development

python php c cplusplus ruby dotnet

My backend experience spans multiple languages and paradigms. Python is my go-to for rapid development, data processing, and building APIs. PHP serves well for web-centric projects, while C and C++ give me the power to work closer to the metal when performance is critical. Ruby brings elegance to web development, and .NET provides a robust enterprise framework. This polyglot approach means I can choose the best tool for each specific challenge.

Database Technologies

mysql mssql

Data is at the heart of every application. I work with both MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server, understanding that good database design is crucial for application performance and scalability. From schema design and query optimization to understanding transaction isolation levels and indexing strategies, I approach databases with the care they deserve.

DevOps & Infrastructure

docker gcp linux bash

Modern development isn't complete without understanding deployment and operations. Docker allows me to create consistent, reproducible environments. Google Cloud Platform provides the infrastructure to scale applications globally. Linux is my preferred operating system for development and deployment, and Bash scripting helps automate repetitive tasks. I believe in infrastructure as code and treating deployment with the same rigor as application code.

Design & Creative Tools

figma illustrator xd blender android

Design thinking is integral to how I approach development. Figma and Adobe XD help me prototype interfaces and collaborate with designers. Adobe Illustrator brings vector graphics capabilities for creating assets. Blender opens up possibilities for 3D visualization and creative projects. This design background helps me build products that are not just functional but visually compelling and user-friendly.

πŸ’ Development Philosophy

Over time, I've developed certain principles that guide how I approach software development. These aren't rigid rules but guiding philosophies that help me make better decisions.

Code is Communication: Code is read far more often than it's written. I prioritize clarity and expressiveness over cleverness. Well-named variables, clear function purposes, and thoughtful architecture make code maintainable and enjoyable to work with.

User-Centered Design: Technology serves people. Every technical decision should ultimately trace back to creating value for users. Performance optimizations, feature implementations, and design choices all matter because they impact the people using what we build.

Continuous Improvement: There's always a better way. I approach every project as a learning opportunity. Whether it's a new pattern, a better testing strategy, or a more elegant solution, I'm always looking to refine my craft.

Pragmatic Technology Choices: The best tool is the one that solves the problem effectively. I avoid both technology dogmatism and chasing trends. Instead, I evaluate technologies based on the specific requirements, team expertise, and long-term maintainability.

Test-Driven Thinking: Even when not doing strict TDD, I think about testability. Code that's easy to test is usually well-designed code. Good tests serve as documentation and provide confidence when refactoring.
