Upfront, install Sphinx and the PHP extension:

pip install Sphinx
pip install tk.phpautodoc

Clone https://github.com/avalanche123/doxphp somewhere once and then execute:

export DOXPHPPATH="<doxphpRepo>/bin"
php generateAPIDocs.php
cd docs
make clean && make html
