⚠️ This is currently a proposal that requires approval. Please comment if you agree or if you have any concerns.

This adds SimRel release schedules for the 2026-03 and 2026-06 releases. They are adapted from the schedules for the 2025-03 and 2025-06 releases.
Thanks to @HannesWell (#61), the schedules are now provided in machine-readable JSON format.

Once this is approved and merged, I will create the according Google calendar entries.

The rendered pages can, for example, be seen via these links:

Wasn't there a discussion sometime back around moving the release dates slightly to the upcoming JDK release dates?

Yes, we had several discussions about it. We had one in last November where we agreed to follow up on the topic in March 2025:
https://github.com/eclipse-simrel/.github/blob/main/wiki/Planning_Council/2024-11-06.md#schedules-for-next-releases

So I brought it up in March again and there was still no conclusion on changing the schedules: https://github.com/eclipse-simrel/.github/blob/main/wiki/Planning_Council/2025-03-05.md#java-support-schedule

We can have it as a topic for our planning council meeting on Wednesday to see if something has changed.

We really should not assume that JDT's Java beta support is release quality immediately after the JDK is released. Very few people will have installed and tested it at the time it's released. It's not merged into the master stream until after the release and then there are several months of time to ensure it's of release quality for the subsequent release:

We have this notification that alerts everyone to the option to enable Java 25 support:

https://www.eclipse.org/setups/notification/java25/

This way everyone can choose to install it the same day it's made available, and can do so at their own risk.

If there would be such discussion it would be best if JDT developers are involved in it otherwise the discussion wouldn't be productive.

From what I remember from previous discussions, I do actually not expect that we (need to) change anything in the current policy (now). Still, this topic comes up so open that it might be worth having a proper, comprehensive documentation of the current policy at some central, public place, so that we can easily read and refer to it.

No objections were raised in today's planning council meeting either.
