Summary of Changes

Hello @dhth, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a version flag to the application, allowing the version to be displayed via the command-line interface and logged during startup. This enhancement improves the application's debuggability and user experience by providing clear and accessible version information.

Highlights

  • Version Flag Implementation: A new 'version' string parameter has been introduced and propagated throughout the command-line interface (CLI) structure to manage and display the application's version.
  • CLI Version Display: The application's root command now explicitly sets its 'Version' field using the provided version string, enabling users to query the application's version via standard CLI flags (e.g., --version).
  • Startup Logging: The application's startup logs will now include the current version, enhancing debuggability and operational monitoring by providing immediate version context.
  • Default Version: A default version string 'dev' is set in 'main.go', which can be overridden during the build process for release versions, ensuring a consistent versioning scheme.

Code Review

This pull request adds a version flag to the application, which is a great addition for tracking builds. The version is correctly passed from main through the command structure and used in cobra to enable the --version flag, as well as logged on startup for the forward command. The implementation is straightforward and correct. I've added one suggestion to improve the structured logging in the forward command for better log clarity and parsing.
