Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology

This is where we host most of the scientific software we produce at OCBE, a joint center between the University of Oslo and the Oslo University Hospital.

OCBE's public software repository

About OCBE

The Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology (OCBE) is a research center at the University of Oslo, dedicated to advancing statistical methods and epidemiological research in medicine and public health. We develop innovative statistical tools and methodologies that address real-world challenges in medical research.

Research software plays a crucial role in achieving our goals by:

  • Implementing novel statistical methods that push the boundaries of biostatistical research
  • Making cutting-edge methodologies accessible to the broader scientific community
  • Striving to ensure reproducibility and transparency in research through open-source tools
  • Enabling researchers worldwide to apply advanced statistical techniques to their own data

Contributing

All our research software is open source, and we welcome all contributions from within and outside the scientific community, no matter how small. Here's how you can get involved:

  • Report bugs and request features: Visit a repository's Issues page by clicking the "Issues" tab at the top of its GitHub page to submit bug reports or feature requests
  • First-time contributors: Some repositories have a contribute page (accessible via the repository's /contribute path) listing issues that are ideal for first-time contributors
  • Code contributions: Check out our Contributing Guide for detailed information on how to submit pull requests and follow our coding standards

Documentation & Resources

Please read the main page (README file) under each repository for specific instructions on how to access that software's documentation and ask for support.
