For 128-bit security, AEGIS-128X2 is the recommended choice for most modern CPUs, including ARM CPUs. And AEGIS-128X4 will require less CPU cycles on Intel CPUs with AVX-512. For 256-bit security, AEGIS-256X4 is generally the fastest option.
