🌱 I'm a data scientist based in South Africa, working at the intersection of climate, health, and machine learning.
🔬 Currently pursuing a PhD at Wits School of Public Health, with research focused on heat vulnerability in urban settings, particularly Johannesburg.
🧠 My technical interests include:
- Survival analysis and biostatistics in Python
- Forecasting and predictive modeling
- Explainable AI (e.g., SHAP, XGBoost)
- Climate-health linkages using satellite data and geospatial analytics
🛠 I work with tools like Python, SQL, GEE, R, Streamlit, Firebase, Git, and JupyterHub.
☁️ I’m actively building pipelines to migrate and harmonize multi-site health data from on-prem systems to cloud-based research infrastructure, in compliance with NIH and institutional requirements.
