I’m Luca Tineo, third year at UCLA. I took an interest in computer science in senior year of high school and committed to pursuing it as a career in my freshman year of college. It's a bumpy ride but I'm looking forward to seeing it through! Currently, I've taken an interest in multiple different sectors of the computer science world and am currently working on building my basic skills and exploring the branches I find most compelling.
In between classes, I do work on some of my hobbies and learn from different disciplines in the computer science world.
I have a homelab system composed of two PCs.
- Proxmox Server:
An old gaming PC converted into a server PC running Proxmox VE, an open-source virtualization platform and a bare-metal hypervisor. It is responsible for hosting services for both myself and my friends. These services are divided into appropriate virtual machines hosting Alpine Linux for a minimal footprint on system resources. Some of these services include:
- Jellyfin
- Navidrome
- Modded Minecraft
- and several others!
- NAS: A custom-built NAS that stores whatever I need it to. It also serves as a personal cloud storage for all my devices. WIP with more utility planned for the future.
I have a deep interest in various cultures throughout the world. In addition to being a native English speaker, I also understand and can speak Spanish on a fluent-native level, and am studying intermediate-level Japanese. I plan to learn Mandarin Chinese and German in the future!
Pleased to make your acquaintance!
