init.lua

Prerequisites

  1. NVIM
  2. packer.nvim

How to setup

  1. go to your home dir with cd and create a folder .config if it doesn't already exist
  2. go into the folder .config in your home dir
  3. run command git clone https://github.com/Aerochrome/init.lua.git nvim (insert your fork here if you did fork the repo)
  4. open packer.lua with nvim nvim lua/kappa/packer.lua (click away all the annoying stuff that pops up on nvim start by scrolling to the bottom and hitting ENTER)
  5. type :so in nvim
  6. type :PackerSync and watch everything get installed.
  7. Restart NVIM

After that, nvim might still complain upon startup because of missing compilers and stuff, and that's because of the LSP and treesitter configs i've setup for my needs. It's assumed that you have a set of tools installed on your system, this of course matches my usecase.

If you want to customize that, go into the files after/plugin/treesitter.lua and after/plugin/lsp.lua and customize the 'ensure_installed' variables accordingly.
