The app is great and works really well. Customer service is easy to contact, and we set up a call quickly. Joy Velasco was kind and easy to talk to. She walked us through the listing process step by step, giving clear and detailed explanations. She was very patient and made everything easy to understand. Highly recommended!
This app used to be fantastic, with solid functionality and excellent support. Unfortunately, our experience has gone downhill. While the app still syncs fairly well with certain marketplaces—Etsy being the most reliable—it has completely failed to keep our inventory updated across the board.
The most frustrating part is that instead of working toward a solution, support has shifted the blame back on us, claiming our frequent inventory updates are the cause. That explanation doesn’t hold water, since syncing and updating inventory is supposed to be the core purpose of the app. If the system can’t handle regular updates, it’s essentially useless for any business that manages a dynamic catalog.
We’ve also noticed delays, inconsistencies, and errors creeping into the sync process—items showing as in stock when they’re sold out, pricing not reflecting correctly, and listings failing to update across channels. These are critical issues for sellers, and what was once a reliable tool is now creating more problems than it solves.
In short: this app had huge potential and was once a go-to solution, but until the syncing and support issues are taken seriously and resolved, it’s hard to recommend it for businesses that rely on accurate, real-time marketplace integration.
The app works excellently. Listing items created in Shopify is done on eBay without any major delays.
Thanks to the very quick support from the support team, I learned a lot about the Marketplace Connect app that I would never have known just by reading the description.
Please note an important point that I discovered due to a change in the inventory of an archived item.
By changing the inventory of an archived item, the item activated in Marketplace Connect was automatically transferred to eBay.
The support team's analysis quickly identified the reason for the item being transferred to eBay, and I received important information about using Marketplace Connect.
--> As soon as the inventory is changed, the item is automatically uploaded to eBay if the item is active in the Marketplace Connect item list.
--> When the inventory is changed, the item's status is not checked. This means that even if the item is archived and hidden in the online shop, the item is uploaded to eBay.
--> Here is an excerpt from the email support team:
Marketplace Connect app uses Shopify as the source of truth for your products. The list of products that you see on Marketplace Connect > Listings page are all your products in Shopify regardless of their status (active, draft & archived). There is no way to delete a product within Marketplace Connect. To delete them, you have to delete directly in Shopify.
A product that was previously enabled in Marketplace Connect that became out of stock will become active again in eBay when stock get replenished in Shopify. The way to end the eBay listing is to disable it in Marketplace Connect.
