✨ Our very own movie premiered last week at The Impact Lounge! ✨ As Climate Week took over New York City, we showed up with a special activation to spotlight the people who power real change every day: our donors. GoFundMe is home to some of the most inspiring stories in the world. Stories of heroes, hope, love, grit, heartbreak, and triumph. And they're all made possible by one thing: unfathomable generosity. In just one hour in August, 5,922 people made donations on GoFundMe. Our film honored the donors who gave during that hour—August 1, 2025, from 2–3 p.m. Now, imagine the impact of an entire day. 🌍 Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by to experience this activation and celebrate the everyday heroes who make our platform what it is. Let’s keep creating change, together. 💚

  • 💡 Nonprofits are constantly being asked to do more with less. Donor trust is shifting, traditional funding streams are under pressure, and communities expect immediate, transparent impact. At Concordia, our CEO Tim Cadogan joined leaders from UNICEF, United Way, and Food for the Hungry, Inc. to explore how philanthropy and technology can help nonprofits adapt and thrive in today's landscape. Tim emphasized three opportunities for nonprofits: 🔹 Build trust and immediacy: Donors want to give directly and see their impact quickly. Over 200 million people and nonprofits have raised more than $40 billion on our platform—a testament to the power of both individual voices and grassroots giving. 🔹 Leverage collaboration: Digital fundraising doesn’t just generate dollars; it expands reach and builds awareness. Our work this year with the American Cancer Society shows how nonprofits can connect with new supporters and amplify their mission through community-driven fundraising. 🔹 Complement traditional aid: In crises like the Los Angeles wildfires, GoFundMe fundraisers provided more than $265 million in support. When individuals and institutions work together, communities recover faster and more sustainably. As Tim put it: “Nonprofits don’t have to choose between grassroots and global. By embracing platforms and people-powered fundraising, you can build trust, grow awareness, and diversify support in ways that strengthen long-term impact.” 🙏 Thank you to moderator Kate Warren and fellow panelists Michael J. Nyenhuis, Mark Viso, and Angela F. Williams for an insightful discussion. #concordia25 (Photos: Getty Images for Concordia Summit)

At Fundraising.AI, I shared how nonprofits can harness AI to raise more with less effort. The key isn’t just smart algorithms — it’s data. With 15+ years of fundraising across millions of campaigns and donors, GoFundMe Pro has the richest dataset in the giving space. That means we can see patterns others can’t — from Gen Z first-time givers to major philanthropists. With that data, we: ⚡ Train smarter, more personalized AI models ⚡ Test and iterate at unmatched scale ⚡ Build tools grounded in real giving behavior The result? AI that helps nonprofits scale generosity without losing the personal touch.

🌍 At this year’s Clinton Global Initiative, our CEO Tim Cadogan challenged all of us to think bigger about the future of giving. For decades, giving in the U.S. has been at 2% of GDP. Tim sees an opportunity for change: “Giving has been stuck at 2% of GDP for 50 years. With technology and human connection, we can finally move that number.” That’s why GoFundMe Pro partners with thousands of nonprofits, helping to strengthen trust with donors, expand reach, and make fundraising easier and more effective. Together, we’ve already helped raise over $40 billion, but the real opportunity is ahead: unlocking a new era of generosity that powers the causes you champion every day. 💡 Let’s reimagine what’s possible when technology meets humanity in the service of giving.

  • One year ago, Hurricane Helene devastated communities across the Southeast. Days later, Hurricane Milton compounded the damage—leaving families displaced, small businesses under water, and nonprofits working around the clock to respond. In the weeks and months that followed, frontline organizations mobilized alongside more than 700,000 donors worldwide, raising over $130 million on GoFundMe to power recovery efforts. Together, we’ve seen the impact that collaboration between nonprofits and donors can create in times of crisis. Recovery is still ongoing. Families are rebuilding, businesses are reopening, and nonprofits continue to provide critical long-term support. 💚 This anniversary is a moment to reflect on the strength of the nonprofit sector—and the communities you serve. Read more here: https://gfme.co/4mxGyrx With gratitude to our nonprofit partners who shared footage from their response for this video: All Hands & Hearts, Direct Relief, Team Rubicon, Americares, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), and Wine To Water.

  • A sneak peek at last night's dinner in New York 👀 Our team got together with nonprofit executives and thought leaders to discuss the realities of purpose-driven leadership, exchange strategies and insights, and explore how to build a stronger, more resilient future for the sector. It's been a big week in the city with a packed agenda. More to come!

  • #HungerActionMonth is a time to take action, raise awareness, and stand up for those facing food insecurity. GoFundMe Pro is proud to highlight three food orgs making an incredible impact, one meal at a time. In the D.C. area, Capital Area Food Bank supports more than one million people annually. The org works with 400+ local partners, providing nearly 61 million meals just last year. They go even further by addressing hunger’s root causes—partnering with orgs that provide critical services like health care and job training programs. In Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, Chattanooga Area Food Bank feeds 25,000+ people each week. They collaborate with 300+ partner agencies, delivering more than 15 million pounds of food last year alone. With 1 in 6 area households not knowing where their next meal is coming from, the food bank is ensuring powerful regional change. In San Diego County, Feeding San Diego fights to end hunger through food rescue. More than 76% of the food they distribute has been rescued, keeping 31 million pounds of food on the table instead of unnecessarily going to landfills. Every $1 donated helps provide two meals to children, families, seniors, students, and veterans. This Hunger Action Month, we’re proud to support these organizations and their crucial work to end hunger. Every action counts. Every meal matters. Help support their work. 🎙️ Had a great time joining the Modern CTO podcast. We dug into: - How GoFundMe is leveraging AI and LLMs to transform fundraising - Why the psychology of asking for help matters in philanthropy - Why velocity is everything in innovation and leadership It was a fun and wide-ranging conversation, and I appreciate the chance to share how we’re thinking about the future of generosity. Thanks so much to Joel Beasley for the great chat. 👉Listen wherever you get your podcasts, or here on YouTube: https://gfme.co/3IHBaUZ

When floods devastated South Texas over the 4th of July weekend, the Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas (CBCST) knew their community wanted to help—as quickly as possible. In under five minutes, the CBCST team launched a fully branded campaign using GoFundMe Pro’s Campaign Studio. The community impact was huge. Supporters raised more than $47,000 in less than three weeks to support grieving families. When every minute matters, being able to act fast can mean a world of difference when it’s needed most. Is your nonprofit ready to mobilize like this? https://bit.ly/425PhtQ
