We're going to be talking about all things developer productivity at the upcoming #DPESummit in San Francisco on September 23-24! ✅ "𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁," drawing on decades of research and industry experience, features Nachi N., Research Scientist, and Brian H., Sr. Principal Applied Scientist at Microsoft. They will discuss how AI is revolutionizing the full developer experience — from code to delivery — and where they would invest to drive the next wave of innovation. ✅ "𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮" tackles the challenge of measuring productivity and the added complexities AI introduces. Pavel A., Software Engineer, and Payam S., Director of Product Management, leaders in Meta’s AI developer tools, will share how Meta uses advanced telemetry to create metrics that provide insights into AI’s impact across the developer journey. ✅ "𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿" with Karim N., Software Engineer, uncovers hidden productivity killers—those unseen distractions that quietly erode developer focus and throughput. The incredible progress of AI has a dirty secret: its unsustainable energy consumption. Every new state-of-the-art model demands more power, scaling data centers to the size of small cities. We're building an amazing future on a hardware foundation that is fundamentally broken from a sustainability perspective. This is the "why" behind Lumineuroptic™. The goal isn't just to be faster. It's to change the fundamental equation of computational energy cost. We need hardware that doesn't just scale the problem, but solves it at the physical layer. The technical paper explores this solution: https://lnkd.in/dw56RvBs Is energy consumption the single biggest long-term threat to AI's true potential? #Lumineuroptic hashtag #Sustainability hashtag #AI hashtag #DataCenter hashtag #Energy hashtag #Hardware hashtag #DeepLearning hashtag #GreenTech Mostrar traducción Activar para ver una imagen más grande.
Excited to see all the insights on developer productivity and AI at #DPESummitcan’t wait to learn from these industry leaders!
👏
Super excited for this focus on developer productivity beyond the commit. The hard part isn’t showing activity, it’s proving causal impact on delivery, quality, and flow. Curious how Meta blends DORA/SPACE with telemetry to capture “dark matter” time (review wait, context switching, flaky tests) without incentivizing metric gaming.
Great lineup, Curious to hear how AI’s impact on developer productivity will be measured and how those hidden "dark matter" distractions can be tackled!

16hIt's fascinating to see Meta discussing AI and developer productivity, especially when the platform still lacks basic human support for users wrongfully locked out of their accounts. I’ve been locked out of both Facebook and Instagram for months, using the username kevcon1079. META even breached their own policy, no explanation, no resolution, and no way to reach a human. Meanwhile, Meta is building telemetry to measure AI developer flow. Real productivity means solving real problems. Account access, user support, and digital due process should be part of that conversation, too. I’ve spoken to Radio NZ about this issue and joined thousands of others calling for change: 🔗 https://www.change.org/p/meta-wrongfully-disabling-accounts-with-no-human-customer-support #MetaSupport #PlatformAccountability #DigitalRights #Productivity #AI #DPE
