Off My Hinge began as a podcast unpacking Gen Z’s oversaturation with dating apps — not just as tools for love, but as places where people are relearning how to connect, rebuild social skills, and form community in a post-pandemic world. With rapid growth across Spotify, Instagram, and TikTok, we’re now scaling into a communications-based production company with a clear mission: to help young people navigate their relationships — and their identities within them — with more honesty, confidence, and care. Our work centers on creating content that is engaging, accessible, and educational, sparking conversations that matter and equipping people with research-backed tools to prioritize the quality of their connections over the quantity. As we build our start-up team, we’re laying the foundation for a company that not only shares stories but also reimagines how online dating and digital relationships can be approached in ways that are safe, sustainable, and deeply value-driven.
The Opportunity
As our Social Media Management Intern, you’ll help shape Off My Hinge’s social presence by managing content calendars, scheduling posts, and tracking analytics. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn the strategy side of social media — understanding not just what to post, but when, why, and how to scale content for long term growth and impact. Please note that this internship is unpaid with the possibility of extension and long term permanent role after 6 months.

Qualifications:
Must be willing to work two full days a week (days flexible)
Must be in commutable distance to Downtown Manhattan and willing to commute to work in person once a week
Must be enrolled in Bachelors Degree Program or a graduate of Bachelors Degree Program; Juniors, Seniors, Masters Candidates preferred; all considered.
Ideally Prior Internship or Work Experience
Must be able to submit portfolio/work samples with your application submission for relevant positions.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and maintain the content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn by establishing and auditing systems in project management and content tools
Schedule and publish posts consistently using social tools
Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement
Track social metrics and prepare weekly reports and presentations
Research platform algorithm updates and best practices
Assist in shaping long-term growth strategy for social media presence
Expand Social Channels with consistency
