We are looking for a Structural Engineering professional to assist with the growth and leadership of our Structural Engineering team in Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm that places a strong emphasis on teamwork and growing your career skills.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an Ohio Registered Professional Engineer meeting the requirements for Level 2 bridge design. Key responsibilities will include:
Playing a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Ohio Structural team
Establishing and maintaining relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line
Applying knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design
Performing as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects. Training and support is available if needed
Reviewing complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
Assisting senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
Preparing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments
Preparing proposals and funding applications
As opportunities present themselves this role may also be involved in other various projects and responsibilities
Qualifications for this role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) meeting Level 2 criteria
10+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
