Position Overview
The Managing Director is responsible for spearheading the growth of an expanding market. In this role, the Managing Director will oversee a team of recruiters and sales professionals, including division managers within an office or branch. This role requires a "player-coach" who excels in hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team, while simultaneously taking ownership of the business's expansion and success.
The Managing Director is responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive employee growth plans. This includes setting and managing team performance metrics, as well as inspiring team members to reach their full potential. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing strategic training and guidance on developing target client lists, expanding existing partnerships, and effectively placing talent in open roles.
As a "player-coach," the Managing Director will be hands-on in production, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrating natural leadership abilities. Responsibilities Of The Managing Director
- New business and client development.
- Growth strategies and planning.
- Strategic market penetration.
- Contract negotiation.
- Short- and long-term business plan creation.
- Hiring, training, and developing.
- Sales, recruiting, & account management; training, coaching, mentoring, & counseling.
- Performance monitoring, management, & restructuring.
- Conduct performance evaluations on a routine basis (monthly/quarterly and/or annually).
- Operational analysis, correction, & performance-tuning.
- Other projects and tasks as directed by your manager.
- Previous experience leading successful teams.
- Track record of high performance within staffing.
- Ability to have a "big picture" mindset and strategy.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of staffing and recruiting experience are required.
