Water Damage? We'll Help You Navigate the Complex Insurance Process! Dealing with water damage in your home is stressful enough without having to navigate complex insurance claims. At Right Restoration Partners, we work with all insurance providers and we're not just experts in home restoration; we're also here to help you understand the insurance process every step of the way. Here are some of the most common questions homeowners ask us about water damage insurance claims: ☑️ Will my insurance cover this? Most standard homeowner policies cover sudden and accidental water damage (e.g., burst pipes, overflowing appliances). However, flood damage from outside sources typically requires a separate flood insurance policy. We can help you understand what your specific policy might cover. ☑️ What's my deductible? Your deductible is the amount you're responsible for paying out-of-pocket before your insurance coverage kicks in. This amount varies by policy. We recommend checking your policy details or contacting your agent to confirm. ☑️ Do I need to get multiple estimates? While it's always good to be informed, many insurance companies prefer working with reputable restoration companies with quick emergency service and that can provide a detailed and accurate estimate. We work directly with most insurance providers to streamline the process for you. ☑️ How long does the claims process take? The timeline can vary depending on the complexity of the damage, and your insurance company. We focus on efficient and thorough restoration to help expedite the process. ☑️ Should I start drying things out myself? It's crucial to act quickly to prevent further damage like mold or other structural impacts. However, proper mitigation is key. We recommend contacting professionals like us immediately to ensure the job is done safely and effectively, which can also help with your claim. We're committed to making your home restoration as smooth as possible, from initial assessment to final repairs and everything in between, including assisting with your insurance claim. Uncovering Hidden Water Damage: How We Protect Your Home Ever worried about hidden leaks causing silent damage to your home? You're not alone. What you can't see can be the most significant threat, leading to mold, rot, and costly repairs down the line. At Right Restoration Partners, we take the guesswork out of water damage restoration. We use advanced technology like the FLIR MR176 Imaging Moisture Meter to see what the naked eye can't. Think of it as an X-ray for moisture. This powerful tool combines a thermal camera with a moisture meter. Here’s how it helps us protect your home: We See the Unseen: The thermal imaging camera shows us temperature differences in your walls, floors, and ceilings. Wet areas are typically cooler, creating a clear "moisture map" that guides us directly to the source of the problem. Pinpoint Accuracy: Once a potential issue is identified, we use the integrated pin and pinless moisture meter to confirm the extent of the water damage. This means we only need to access the affected areas, minimizing disruption to your home. Faster, More Efficient Restoration: By quickly and accurately identifying the source and scope of the water damage, we can begin the drying and restoration process faster. This prevents the spread of damage and the potential for mold growth. With the FLIR MR176, we're not just guessing; we're seeing. This allows us to provide you with a more accurate assessment and a more effective restoration plan. It’s just one of the ways Right Restoration Partners is committed to using the best technology to ensure your home is safe, dry, and fully restored. If you suspect you might have hidden water damage, don't wait. Contact us today for a thorough inspection! #RightRestorationPartners #HomeRestoration #WaterDamage #PropertyDamage #MoldPrevention #FLIR #Technology #HomeownerTips #ProtectYourHome

Water damage by the numbers! Our friends at The Hanover Insurance Group provided a infographic with some interesting information for homeowners. As a reminder, it's always a good time to review your homeowner's insurance policy and understand what's typically covered and what's not. Most standard homeowners policies provide coverage for sudden and accidental water damage from sources inside your home. However, it's important to know what's not typically covered: ☑ Sewer Backup or Sump Pump Overflow: Damage from water backing up through your sewers or drains, or from a sump pump failure, is typically excluded from a standard policy. This is where specific endorsements become vital. ☑ Gradual Water Damage: Slow leaks over time (e.g., a leaky faucet that causes wood rot, or a poorly maintained roof that slowly lets water seep in) are often not covered. Insurance is generally for sudden and accidental events, not for issues caused by a lack of maintenance. ☑ Groundwater Seepage: Water seeping into your basement or foundation from the ground is usually not covered. ☑ Flood Damage: This is a big one. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover damage from floods (i.e., rising surface water from outside your home, like overflowing rivers, heavy rain, or storm surge). #TheHanoverInsuranceGroup #InsuranceTips #ProtectYourHome #HomeOwnersInsurance #HomeRestoration
