My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new five month plus Interior Designer Space Planner opportunity available for a major firm located in Midtown, Manhattan and Holmdel, New Jersey that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The choice of the onsite work location will be with the candidate and he / she can work in either of the firms office locations.

This position pays $45.00 to $48.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis.
We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Space Planner / Move Coordinator to temporarily support our Workplace Strategy, Design & Experience team. This role is critical in supporting the planning and execution of space utilization strategies, office moves, and workplace transitions that align with our organizational goals and enhance employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain space plans that support business needs, growth, and workplace strategy.
Coordinate and manage internal office moves, restacks, and relocations from planning through execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, IT, HR, and Business Units to ensure seamless transitions.
Maintain accurate occupancy data and space allocation records using CAFM/IWMS systems.
Conduct space audits and provide recommendations for optimization.
Support change management efforts related to workplace transitions.
Communicate move plans and logistics clearly to impacted teams and stakeholders.
Partner with furniture vendor on creating furniture layouts and place furniture orders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in space planning, move coordination, or workplace operations.
Proficiency in space planning tools (AutoCAD, CAFM/IWMS platforms).
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
