Job Summary (List Format) – Test Automation Engineer (Data Testing, not Software)

  • Responsible for data validation and testing, specifically focused on data quality, transformation logic, and not on software or application validation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, leveraging frameworks such as YData-Synthetic, SDV, Gretel-Synthetics, SynthCity, or DoppelGANger.
  • Create and validate synthetic test data and develop golden model simulations in Python for use with MS SQL Server.
  • Work closely with data engineers, QA analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure accurate data delivery within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment processes.
  • Analyze, identify, and document data defects or inconsistencies, ensuring high-quality data for analytics and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of test automation strategies and reusable SQL-based test frameworks.
  • Required to have strong experience and understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and manufacturing or consumer goods industry experience.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with specific experience using GE Plant Applications and MS SQL Server.
