Overview
Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs timely analysis on discharged inpatient, same day surgery, emergency room, or any other patient record for completeness according to standards established by the Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, outside regulatory agencies and departmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility 1: Performs daily analysis on appropriate patient records.
Key Responsibility 2: Validates the correct assignment of the deficiency to the provider. Analyzes the patient’s medical record to ensure that the correct deficiency and provider have been identified. If needed makes corrections and addresses any deficiencies with support from the provider.

Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department

Associate Degree in HIM or related field
Experience
Two years previous experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department with additional experience in quality analysis or similar function
