JOB MISSION:
Ensure compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations. Drive the development of robust compliance frameworks, mitigate regulatory risks and work to enable seamless cross-border trade. Play a pivotal role in protecting the company’s global reputation and promoting operational efficiencies.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

JOB MISSION:
Ensure compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations. Drive the development of robust compliance frameworks, mitigate regulatory risks and work to enable seamless cross-border trade. Play a pivotal role in protecting the company’s global reputation and promoting operational efficiencies.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure Compliance with US Import and Export Regulations.
- Supervise accurate Trade Documentation and Recordkeeping.
- Oversee Customs and Import Operations; ensure compliance with CBP.
- Work closely with external customs broker.
- Be liaison for Customs and other agencies.
- Ensuring vendor audits (C-TPAT) are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee customs Risk Management and Internal Controls.
- Work cross functionally with global teams to ensure alignment in processes/procedures.
- Manage compliance activities as they pertain to C-TPAT, AEO and ISF).
- Liaison with Development, Sourcing, Finance and Purchasing Teams.
- HTS and Origin.
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 10 years’ experience of customs compliance.
- Certified Customs Broker, preferred.
- Experience developing, leading, and managing a team.
- Experience of working with global markets.
- Strong verbal and written skills utilizing appropriate demeanor, proper grammar/spelling, and respectful tone to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and email.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
- Attention to detail, learning mind-set and collaborative mindset/working style. Ability to learn and retain processes and procedures in a changing environment.
- Sit/stand and work on a computer for long periods of time.
- International and domestic travel (20%) is expected.
