We are excited to share an opportunity for a finance leader to step into a role that blends strategic oversight with global collaboration.
In this position, you’ll lead financial control, systems, and audit compliance initiatives that directly support annual profit and performance goals. You’ll also work hand-in-hand with global finance peers to align policies across accounting, inventory, cash management, tax, cost controls, and receivables - ensuring consistency with worldwide standards.
Beyond finance, this role provides strategic oversight of legal, IT, compliance, and accounting projects - driving key metrics, mitigating risks, and shaping commercial outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Compliance Officer, ensuring the organization’s financial practices and reporting adhere to all applicable regulatory, legal, and ethical standards. Direct the development and execution of major financial policies, plans, procedures and controls, and own responsibility for the compliance function to ensure effective governance oversight of business operations.
- Champion a systems-thinking approach to financial leadership, integrating cross-functional processes that enhance operational efficiency and strategic alignment.
- Bring the commercial orientation to effectively design and implement scalable financial systems and controls that support long-term business growth and adaptability.
- Drive commercial strategy by translating financial insights into actionable business decisions that optimize profitability and market positioning.
- Lead enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes (FPBD), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and performance targets.
- Manage a team of finance professionals who provide critical business services around: accounting, audits, taxes reporting and payment, accounts payable/receivables, financial planning, controls, administrative methods and procedures, treasury, financial public relations.
- Manage the company’s IT function and staff, ensuring the security and effectiveness of systems. Administer the Company’s legal function utilizing in-house paralegal and external law firms.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure accurate payroll tax processing and full compliance with Internal Revenue Service regulations and procedures.
- Communicate expectations, provide direction, performance feedback and recognition to associates. Coach and mentor team members for individual growth and development. Foster a team commitment to individual accountability and consistently improving performance. Lead and engage associates for growth.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, assess risk, and guide resource allocation using data-driven decision frameworks. Including, when needed, the negotiations for mergers & acquisitions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Unrestrictive Domestic and Foreign travel up to 20% (not inclusive of travel to the company’s Chicago-area headquarters).
The compensation range for this role reflects total compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and work location.
