Reports to: Accounting Manager
We are hiring a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our Finance team. As an A/P Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to maintain positive relationships and support the financial health of the organization.
About The Role
Reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Reviews all invoices received from vendors and ensures that these are entered accurately and timely into NetSuite so that payments can be made.
Assists in the onboarding of new vendors and the confirmation of payment details for that vendor.
Obtain payment approvals for all invoices, including coordinating with the Supply Chain team to confirm receipt of inventory related invoices.
Assists in the review and processing of all credit card transactions. This includes ensuring all transactions have the related receipt attached, that the transaction has been categorized appropriately, and that the transaction has an appropriate business purpose.
Record credit card transactions and reconcile the credit card statement monthly.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
High School Diploma/Equivalent and at least 2 years of accounting experience including hands-on accounts payable responsibilities (invoice processing, matching, vendor management, etc.)
Knowledge of 3-way matching and purchase order systems.
Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment.
Preferred Experience
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems for accounts payable processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software.
Working knowledge of month-end close procedures for AP, including accruals and reporting.
Experience reviewing credit card transactions and reconciling credit card statements.
Ability to analyze and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies independently.
Experience collaborating with procurement, receiving, and inventory control teams.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
