    We’re honored to share that the Torus Spin Flywheel Energy Storage System has been named a winner of the 2025 R&D 100 Awards in the Mechanical/Materials category. Since 1963, the R&D 100 Awards have recognized the most impactful innovations in science and technology worldwide. With Ultion’s help, North America has produced battery cells that rival and in some cases surpass the world’s leading products, built entirely from U.S. and Canadian materials. Ultion in Nevada and First Phosphate in Quebec validated LFP cells that deliver world-class results at commercial scale. For Torus, this milestone strengthens the hybrid flywheel-battery systems we deploy as modular power plants for utilities, data centers, and commercial facilities.     We’ve come a long way since building our first flywheel prototype in a garage. Today we’re running a full production floor in South Salt Lake, and last week we welcomed Senator John Curtis to see it for himself. He spent time with our team, walked the floor, and talked about the role Utah can play in building America’s energy future. A few highlights from the visit: • Torus systems balance the grid with clean, American-made technology • 95% of our supply chain is local to Utah • Our employees are building real solutions that support both jobs and energy security As Senator Curtis put it: “Innovation matters, but it’s the people on the floor who make it real.” We couldn’t agree more.
