VP of Construction - Mission Critical

Futura Energy Group is proud to be partnering with a leading Texas-based General Contractor in their search for a Vice President of Mission Critical to spearhead the delivery of large-scale, high-performance hyperscale data centre facilities.

In this role, you’ll establish, grow, and lead a new division dedicated to Mission Critical and Data Center projects. You’ll have full accountability from concept through commissioning: driving excellence in cost, schedule, quality, and safety. You’ll build and inspire multidisciplinary teams, set the benchmark for execution, and forge lasting relationships with key clients in the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure space.

What you’ll do:

• Define and execute the mission-critical growth strategy from the ground up.
• Build and lead a high-performing delivery team: project managers, superintendents, estimators, and technical specialists.
• Develop a portfolio of hyperscale and mission-critical projects, from pursuit through closeout.
• Partner with business development to secure marquee clients and repeat work.
• Oversee portfolio performance cost, schedule, quality, safety across multiple geographies.
• Serve as the executive face of the division for clients, partners, and stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

• Data center / mission-critical construction veteran with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
• Proven success in winning and delivering large-scale Data Center projects ($100M+), preferably in fast-track environments.
• Deep knowledge of MEP-intensive, redundancy-driven construction and commissioning.
• Track record of building and scaling teams in a GC, EPC, or Owner’s Rep setting.
• Strong client network and business development skills.
