Overview
A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Asset-Based Credit team within the Credit Funds platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, data-driven investments across the specialty finance landscape, including consumer and commercial finance, and other receivables-backed asset classes. This is a high-impact, buy-side position suited for a structured credit professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to gain meaningful exposure to all aspects of the investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Source and evaluate new investment opportunities across specialty finance and asset-backed markets
Lead financial modeling, asset performance analysis, and scenario stress-testing to evaluate risk and return profiles
Drive all phases of the investment process—from due diligence through structuring, documentation, and execution
Collaborate with internal diligence teams and external advisors to conduct thorough corporate and asset-level assessments
Structure transactions, negotiate legal documentation, and manage closing processes efficiently
Prepare and present detailed investment committee materials and analytical memos
Partner with legal, operations, and portfolio teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of deals
Monitor and manage existing investments, tracking asset performance and identifying risk mitigation strategies
Maintain a pulse on market trends in structured credit, ABS, and specialty finance to help inform strategy and origination efforts
Contribute to the continuous development of investment frameworks and underwriting best practices
