Overview

A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Asset-Based Credit team within the Credit Funds platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, data-driven investments across the specialty finance landscape, including consumer and commercial finance, and other receivables-backed asset classes. This is a high-impact, buy-side position suited for a structured credit professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to gain meaningful exposure to all aspects of the investment lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities across specialty finance and asset-backed markets
  • Lead financial modeling, asset performance analysis, and scenario stress-testing to evaluate risk and return profiles
  • Drive all phases of the investment process—from due diligence through structuring, documentation, and execution
  • Collaborate with internal diligence teams and external advisors to conduct thorough corporate and asset-level assessments
  • Structure transactions, negotiate legal documentation, and manage closing processes efficiently
  • Prepare and present detailed investment committee materials and analytical memos
  • Partner with legal, operations, and portfolio teams to ensure seamless execution and integration of deals
  • Monitor and manage existing investments, tracking asset performance and identifying risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain a pulse on market trends in structured credit, ABS, and specialty finance to help inform strategy and origination efforts
  • Contribute to the continuous development of investment frameworks and underwriting best practices
