What does a Decade of Impact look like? Over the past 10 years, donations to The Henry Ford have enabled us to operate our world-class venues, advance our mission, expand our programming and collections, and create transformative educational experiences. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters. If you’ve been inspired by one of the millions of artifacts in our collection, encountered our talented and engaging staff, engaged with our immersive experiences, or look forward to the opening of the Jackson Home in 2026, you’ve felt the impact. Help us achieve even more over the next decade and beyond by making a contribution this Cornerstone Day – our annual founding celebration and giving day. From the working farms of Greenfield Village, to “Agriculture and the Environment” in Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, to our Farm to School Lunch Across America initiative, food education is an important pillar of The Henry Ford. Leaders like chef, author and activist Alice Waters have helped amplify the importance of concepts like eating local, farm-to-table dining and regenerative agriculture. In this video, The Henry Ford’s Curator of Agriculture and the Environment Deb Reid shares what food education means to her, as part of the “What is Food Education?” campaign led by The Charlie Cart Project. Parents and educators, have you heard about Invention Convention Worldwide? In this invention education program led by The Henry Ford, K-12 students identify a problem and invent a solution for it, then present their inventions at local, state and regional competitions. While projects and topics vary, many inventors seek to tackle some of the most complex global challenges of our time, like climate action, cybersecurity, water scarcity and infectious disease. ♻️ Check out some of the sustainability solutions our youth inventors came up with this year: https://lnkd.in/dmVVyWxv. 💡 Learn how to get involved with Invention Convention: https://lnkd.in/dCATAVTM.

Engineers at the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor designed this tricycle especially for Kevin Degen, an avid cycler who raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable organizations through cycling, sometimes pedaling more than 3,000 miles a year. 🚲 Degen was born with cerebral palsy and cycled using only his left leg and left arm. Watch this video for behind-the-scenes info on how The Henry Ford acquired and conserved this one-of-a-kind tricycle, which is on display through February 15, 2026, in our “Bicycles: Powering Possibilities” exhibition at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. 🔗 Learn more at THF.org/bicycles.

We’re proud to announce an exciting new collaboration with Utopia, a film distribution and production company championing independent storytelling on the silver screen. Through 2026, our Giant Screen Experience will host regular The Henry Ford x Utopia screenings of independent films — from bold documentaries to boundary-pushing narrative films — presented as they were meant to be seen: big, bold and uncompromising. Each screening will draw thoughtful connections to The Henry Ford’s collections, current exhibitions, on-site programs or cultural observances that explore the power of expression in influencing culture and sparking change. Our first installment begins on Friday, September 26, at 7:00 p.m. with a screening of director Mike Figgis’ new critically acclaimed release MEGADOC, a raw, fly-on-the-wall documentary about Francis Ford Coppola’s decades-long journey in creating his self-financed passion project, “Megalopolis.” Learn more and purchase tickets at thf.org/utopia
