Last week, we hosted our inaugural Rillet AI Summit in San Francisco. We gathered 221 CFOs and Controllers together as we build the community of AI-Native finance and accounting leaders. Here's a quick recap of the event: 1 - Our investor Roelof Botha shared his journey to managing partner of Sequoia Capital, encouraging attendees to “Dare to dream” and to steward their organizations well. He also shared how they evaluate over 10,000 investments a year and why they backed Rillet. 2 - AI CFOs Marten Abrahamsen, Mary M. Liu, Adam Strouss and Lee Kirkpatrick discussed AI pricing, sunsetting ARR for usage companies, the value of board meetings and how the CFO role is changing. 3 - Lovable CTO, Fabian Hedin, and Oak partner Audrey Kim, led us in the first ever finance hackathon. Finance leaders vibe-coded from scratch their own CRMs, options calculators, close check lists and margin analysts. We've never seen anything like it. 4 - We intentionally set aside time at the end of the sessions for attendees to connect with each other. We’re not here just to build software. We’re building a community of AI-native finance and accounting leaders. Thank you to everyone who came out. We can’t wait to host you again very soon. Thank you to our partners for the support and sponsorship. We quite literally could not do this without you.

I definitely was impressed with the Rillet AI Finance Summit event last week. Rillet has done absolutely amazing work in developing an AI-Native platform to take us forward into the future of what an ERP looks like in the evolving world of AI. A big shout out to Nicolas Kopp and stephen hedlund along with the rest of the Rillet team! The fireside chats and panels were fantastic and informative and we had a great introduction to Vibecoding with Lovable. I am looking forward to seeing how Rillet continues to evolve!

When your quick trip to the West Coast lines up perfectly with the opportunity to attend the Rillet CFO Conference. Even better when it means you can sign your agreement in person with CEO, Nicolas Kopp 🎉 🤝 Implementing a new #ERP is one of the biggest business infrastructure decisions a company can make. It’s tempting to choose the tried, tested and true “safe” legacy platforms (y’all know the ones I mean). In my view, if you’re investing the time, capital, and change management effort required to modernize your systems and you don’t #AI-enable your business, you’re already behind. That’s why at LumiQ, we’re onboard with #Rillet, an AI-enabled ERP built by an exceptionally sharp team who have spent the last few years quietly perfecting a platform designed for the way businesses operate today and tomorrow. Yes, it feels bold to choose something new when the market defaults to what’s been around for decades, but to me, that’s the point. Tools like Rillet let leaders leapfrog straight into the modern era rather than settle for incremental upgrades. If you’re evaluating ERPs and not looking at Rillet, you’re looking in the rear-view mirror. Excited to see where this partnership takes us and grateful to have been part of such an energizing conversation about the future of finance and technology with fellow CFOs this week. 🚀 stephen hedlund, you organize a mean conference, can’t wait to be there for the next one!

Head of Finance @ Rillet | CFA | dad

In July, I was sitting in an NYC taxi cab with Nicolas Kopp and said “We should host an AI Summit for CFOs.” He said, “Yep. Can you do it in 2 months?” So we did. We brought over 200 CFOs and Controllers together in SF for the inaugural Rillet AI Finance Summit. We nearly broke fire code for the room. It was epic. Roelof Botha, Rillet board member and managing partner at Sequoia Capital kicked us off. I watched a lot of his talks to prep questions for him but was totally unprepared for the wisdom he dropped in the room. He’s kind and authentic but you also tell he’s absolutely tenacious. Doesn’t let anything stand in his way. We then had an AI CFO panel with Marten Abrahamsen from Vercel, Mary M. Liu from Runway, Adam Strouss from Windsurf and Lee Kirkpatrick from Twilio. Vercel is sunsetting ARR (yeap), Runway builds their own foundational models to protect margin, Windsurf is bringing back the deployed engineer motion of the on prem era and Lee shared how Twilio convinced investors usage was recurring revenue. Then we got crazy hands on. Fabian Hedin, cofounder of Lovable and Audrey Kim, partner at Oak HC/FT taught the 200 finance leaders how to vibe code. Pretty sure the first time ever CFOs have vibecoded at scale. We built AND deployed our own apps in 60 minutes. I’ll be sharing a few of them over the coming days and weeks. I was hoping this Summit would be fun. It was way better than I even anticipated. Can’t believe I get to do this for a job. It was exceptional ROI too. We signed 3 deals AT THE SUMMIT. (welcome to Rillet!) Thank you to everyone who came out! Thank you to our partners for sponsoring! Thank you to the Rillet team for working behind the scenes. And thank you x1,000 to Jackie Kahn, Alana Bremner and Alli Kinzel for organizing it all. Literally would not have been possible without you. So Who wants to run it back next week?
