This month marks Tal Search Group’s 20th anniversary. I started the company with one client and the equity from a house I had flipped. It was 2005, and the first couple of years were challenging, to say the least. Through determination, perseverance, and grit, I worked through the housing market crash, when no one was hiring. If you turned on the news, the anchor would say, “Yesterday was bad, but today is worse.” So, I focused on what I could control, which at that point wasn’t much. They say the harder you work, the luckier you get. I would agree with that, but I’d also add that being in the right place at the right time plays a role too. Relationships matter. Doing the right thing matters. Treating others with respect and dignity matters. If you’ve ever worked with Tal Search Group, whether currently or as an alumnus, thank you for the positive impact you’ve made on the company.
