Shout-out to HBCU alums Cipriana Patterson, Ayende Thomas, and Cierra Belton for sharing their expertise and career journeys with future engineers at Howard University this week! In Cipriana's words, "In a world where people that look like me have to constantly prove themselves and fight for freedoms that should be free, HBCUs can be a safe haven, a protected place, where we can grow, learn, and just be." ✨ #HBCUWeek

The future of transportation looks bright! Yesterday, I, along with our Howard alum Ayende Thomas, P.E. and Cierra Belton, spent time with Howard University 's senior engineering design class, discussing active transportation, multimodal design and our career journeys. Inspired by their curiosity, thoughtfulness, and purpose, I'm excited to see this next generation of engineers push us toward a smarter, fairer, and more inclusive transportation system!
