Steptoe partners Claire Rajan, Adie Olson, and Jason Abel, and associate Elizabeth Goodwin authored an article titled “Steps To Take As States Expand Foreign-Influence Bans,” which appeared in Law360. The article explains that a growing number of U.S. states are enacting laws to restrict political engagement by foreign nationals and foreign-influenced companies, with some defining "foreign influence" as low as 1% ownership or minimal foreign revenue.
