At Newsweek’s Pillars of the Green Transition Conference, Wärtsilä President & Chief Executive Officer Håkan Agnevall said storage is a game changer for decoupling supply and demand. He cautioned that storage alone is “not the holy grail,” but part of a broader mix of solutions. “Green is not black or white,” Agnevall said, stressing the need to balance traditional base load power with new sources to build resilient future energy systems.
