As the academic year is coming to a close, I have to do an appreciation post for our student workers, our Career Eagle Officers! The NCCU Career and Professional Development Center has been able to achieve some outstanding accomplishments this year and these students have been instrumental in helping us reach those goals. As my sophomore year at North Carolina Central University draws to a close, I am really happy of the progress I have made over the past two semesters. Approaching 2 years at North Carolina Central University with the NCCU Career and Professional Development Center and I couldn’t be more proud of the work we’ve done. We’ve helped students unlock new opportunities through: • Internships and full-time job placements • 5+ new professional development programs and event series • Launch our Free Professional Headshot Photobooth • Strategic partnerships with employers like Macy's at Southpoint (Amgad Habib) and more • Innovative marketing strategies to increase student engagement In my first year, we were honored to receive “Department of the Year” within the Division of Student Affairs. That recognition speaks volumes about the dedication of our team and the students we serve. North Carolina Central University School of Law students recently had a front-row seat to the regulatory and ethical processes shaping North Carolina’s real estate industry. As guests at the NC Real Estate Commission’s monthly meeting, students observed licensing reviews, disciplinary hearings, and the inner workings of professional oversight — a powerful bridge between legal education and real-world application.
